What exactly is art? Come find out in this art basics class designed for adults new to art or rediscovering their creativity. Learn different ways to view and talk about art, and explore many different media such as graphite, charcoal, watercolor and acrylic paint, clay sculpture, block printing, and felting.

WORKSHOP: Bookbinding

Learn several different ways to create your own blank book to use for drawing, writing, painting, collage, or more! Learn about the tools, materials, and techniques of this craft. We’ll explore different binding methods, including but not limited to accordion, meander, signature binding methods. Materials included.
Intro to Needle Felting

Feeling stabby? Needle felting might be just what you are looking for! Designed for beginners, this mini-class will help you understand the tools and basic techniques as you make a couple of guided projects and an independent project. We will visit the special exhibition Kara Patrowicz: Sally Bishop Prize for inspiration.

Watercolor
& Colored Pencil

Watercolor is an incredible painting medium that can be used boldly, subtly, and anywhere in between. Adding colored pencils brings an additional level of interest and detail to your work. Demonstrations and guidance from the instructor will cover various watercolor and colored pencil techniques that will have you enjoying the mediums more each class!

Needle-Felted Ornaments

Create your very own Holiday hanging ornament using wool roving and needles! The instructor will walk you through the process from beginning to end, but you get to put your own spin on it to make it your very own–or someone else’s!

Altered Fashion: Embroidery for Teens 10+ years
